The world renowned W113 model SL series was built in three different versions:

  • 19.831 built
  • 2306cc 6-cylinder in-line
  • 110kW @ 5.500 rpm
  • 196Nm @ 4.200 rpm
  • 1.295kg

250SL:

  • 1967
  • 5.196 built
  • 2496cc 6-cylinder in-line
  • 110kW @ 5.500 rpm
  • 216Nm @ 4.200 rpm
  • 1.360kg

280SL

  • 1967 – 1971
  • 23.885 built
  • 2778cc 6-cylinder in-line
  • 125kW @ 5.750 rpm
  • 240Nm @ 4.200 rpm
  • 1.415kg

With only minor optical details separating the three different models, the design by Paul Bracq and Béla Barényi was, and still is, one of the most elegant Mercedes-Benz models of all times. With the roof of its hardtop resembling a Chinese “Pagoda”-roof, his nickname was born.

At his time, the W113 was one of the most advanced vehicles on the road, being one of the first cars in the world with passive safety features such as crumple zones, optional seatbelts and headrests, combined with optional comfort features like power steering, an automatic gearbox and the famous Mercedes-Benz reliability makes the Pagoda the ideal classic car for modern day traffic. Uncompromised elegance at its best.

This usability together with the timeless design makes it one of the most attractive classic cars for sale. This is reflected in the ever-rising value of the Mercedes-Benz W113 (+87,5% over the last 10 years).

With the youngest model being over 45 years old, time has got his grip on most of the still existing pagoda models. Together with some less professional mechanics working on the technical side of the car, it can result in some doubtful cars that, although they look good, aren’t half as good as when they rolled out of the factory.

Our partner BT Classics restores the W113 model back to its factory state, with modern technologies allowing them to make them even better than new.

Combining our strengths, we now offer the possibility to turn back the time and offer you the possibility to order your “new” W113 as you would likely have done in the sixties.

How it works:

  1. With our sales consultant, you configure your ideal Pagoda, with free choice of engine, gearbox, colours, options, etc.
  2. We search and buy the vehicle needed to build your dream car.
  3. Our partners at BT Classics start rebuilding your car to your specifications.
  4. With regular reports, we keep you up to date with the status of your vehicle.
  5. When finished, you can pick up your new car in our showroom.

Alternative (depending on availability): choose one of our unsold running projects in the ‘inventory cars’ section.
